The Arizona Goldback Series brings the Goldback concept to the American Southwest for the first time. Each design in this series draws on Arizonas cultural influences, capturing moments from Spanish and Mexican rule through its path to becoming a U.S. state. BGASC now offers 1 oz Arizona Goldback Gold Notes available in 100-count packs.

Highlights:

  • Comes with currency sleeves in a bundle pack of 100 notes!
  • Available in the newly released Arizona Goldback Series!
  • Distinct artwork featured on the 1 Arizona Goldback!
  • Contains 1/1000 troy oz of .9999 pure gold per note (1/10 troy oz total).
  • Obverse design depicts a woman in a traditional Mexican dress near Mission San Jose de Tumacacori.
  • Please note that Goldbacks are NOT US legal tender.
  • Includes UV security elements on the reverse.

Every 1 Arizona Goldback Gold Note 100 Pack is assembled with care, featuring individually sleeved notes bundled together with a black band. This product is sold exclusively as 100-note packs for convenient bulk purchases. The 1 oz Arizona Goldback reflects Arizonas early 1800s era, when the territory became part of Mexico following its independence from Spain in 1821.

Design

The obverse artwork shows a woman in traditional 19th-century Mexican clothing standing before the Mission San Jos de Tumaccori. Founded in 1691 by Father Kino in the Santa Cruz River Valley, the mission was part of a larger chain of Spanish religious settlements reaching north from Mexico. Known for its distinctive dome and adobe structure, the mission underwent several construction phases before being left abandoned in the 1840s during regional unrest.

History

At the heart of the design for the 1 Arizona Goldback is Mission San Jos de Tumaccori. Preserved today as Tumaccori National Historical Park, the ruins of this 18th-century site show a blend of Spanish and indigenous cultures that shaped the regions history.
