All 1 oz Colorized NFL Miami Dolphins Silver Rounds are presented in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and arrive with protective flips. This round is part of the official NFL silver round program, which features BU and colorized designs celebrating the logos of each of the leagues 32 teams.
Obverse
The obverse of the Colorized Miami Dolphins Silver Round displays the teams current logo, introduced in 2013. Shown in aqua and orange, the dolphin design is sleeker and more modern while still recognizable. Behind the dolphin, the sunburst design reflects Miamis tropical setting, while the overall look captures the fun, energetic atmosphere tied to the city and its fans.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the round, youll find the NFL shield. This logo includes the leagues initials, placed below a football that divides two sets of four stars. The stars represent the NFLs two conferences, the AFC and NFC.
History
The Dolphins run of success included back-to-back Super Bowl wins after the 1972 and 1973 seasons, followed by three more Super Bowl appearances in the 1980s. With star players such as Larry Csonka, Bob Griese, and Dan Marino, and under the leadership of Don Shula, the winningest coach in NFL history, the Dolphins built a reputation for excellence. While replicating that dominance has been difficult since the 1990s, their earlier accomplishments remain a cornerstone of the teams identity.
