{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}The New Orleans Saints are one of the NFLs most recognizable franchises, beloved for their connection to their home city and their dedicated fan base. Their Super Bowl XLIV title in 2010 is one of the most celebrated moments in team history. Today, collectors and fans alike can enjoy a piece of that history with the 1 oz Colorized NFL New Orleans Saints Silver Round, available at BGASC.
Highlights:
BGASC offers these 1 oz Colorized NFL New Orleans Saints Silver Rounds in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Each round is delivered in a plastic flip to ensure long-term protection. The collection is part of the NFL silver round program, which provides fans with both BU and colorized silver rounds for every franchise.
Obverse
The obverse of the Colorized NFL New Orleans Saints Silver Round showcases the teams well-known fleur-de-lis logo. Displayed in gold, the fleur-de-lis connects directly to the citys French roots and its cultural past. The team colorsblack, white, and a unique shade of old goldgive the Saints a style that is both traditional and distinctive.
Reverse
The reverse side of the round displays the official NFL shield. The shield includes the leagues initials, a football symbol above, and eight total stars. The stars represent the eight divisions of the NFL: four for the AFC and four for the NFC.
History
The Saints joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1967, their name inspired by the song When the Saints Go Marching In, a tune synonymous with New Orleans jazz. For years, the team was considered among the leagues weaker clubs, often humorously nicknamed the Aints. The story began to change in 2006, when the teams return after Hurricane Katrina became a source of inspiration for the city. Just four years later, with Sean Payton as head coach and Drew Brees at quarterback, the team reached the pinnacle by winning Super Bowl XLIV.
