{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}The United States reaching its 250th anniversary in 2026 is a historic event that has led to the release of many commemorative bullion products celebrating the nations legacy. These products provide collectors with a lasting keepsake tied to Americas history while featuring designs inspired by some of the countrys most recognizable coinage. Today, BGASC has 1 oz Reverse Proof Sunshine Morgan Copper Rounds with an America250 privy available for purchase.
Highlights:
Each 1 oz Reverse Proof Sunshine Morgan Copper Round is individually packaged in a protective plastic flip. Multiples of 20 rounds are available in acrylic tubes. The reverse-proof finish on these rounds combines frosted background fields with mirrored design features for an eye-catching appearance.
Obverse
On the obverse of the Reverse Proof Sunshine Morgan Copper Round is Libertys left-facing portrait. She wears a coronet and Phrygian cap while her hair flows naturally behind her. Surrounding the portrait are thirteen stars representing the original colonies. The America250 privy mark appears beneath Libertys chin in recognition of Americas upcoming 250th anniversary celebration.
Reverse
The reverse of the 1 oz Reverse Proof Morgan Copper Round includes the familiar heraldic eagle. The eagle is shown clutching arrows and an olive branch while spreading its wings across the design field. Encircling the design is the inscription UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Fine detailing throughout the feathers and overall design gives the reverse a strong visual presentation.
History
George T. Morgan created the famous Morgan Dollar design after joining the United States Mint in the 1870s. Originally from England, Morgan wanted his Liberty design to reflect an American appearance rather than the classical style commonly used on earlier coinage. To create the portrait, he used Anna Willess Williams of Philadelphia as the inspiration for Libertys image.
