This semiquincentennial marks a quarter millennium since the original colonies declared independence and began shaping a new form of representative government. To commemorate this significant anniversary, Sunshine Mint has added an America250 privy mark to some of its most recognized silver round designs. These 1 oz Sunshine Buffalo Silver Rounds are delivered either individually in protective flips or in plastic tubes containing 20 rounds each. All rounds in this release include the America250 privy mark in recognition of the nations 250th birthday in 2026. Each piece is also equipped with Sunshine Mints MintMark SI technology, which assists with authenticity verification.
Obverse
The obverse design of the Sunshine Buffalo Silver Round shows an indigenous figure in right-profile relief. Inspired by James Earle Frasers Buffalo Nickel artwork from 1913, the portrait reflects a blend of features from several indigenous leaders of the early 20th century. The figures braided hair and feather details are clearly visible, with the America250 privy mark placed just below the chin.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 1 oz Sunshine Buffalo Silver Round is the well-known image of the American bison. This Fraser-designed depiction was inspired by Black Diamond, a bison that once lived at the Central Park Zoo. The bison is shown in left-profile relief, standing firmly on a raised mound of earth.
History
Across the country, organizations and local communities are planning events and educational efforts to mark this anniversary. National coordination is led by the America250 Foundation, with additional support from state-level commissions working to ensure widespread participation in the commemoration.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
BGASC is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
