One of the most enduring coin designs from that period is the Liberty Gold Eagle, which featured the same main artwork from 1838 until 1907. BGASC now offers certified 1856-S $10 Liberty Gold Eagle Coins for collectors and investors.
Highlights:
Each 1856-S $10 Liberty Gold Eagle Coin comes graded AU58. This is the upper end of the About Uncirculated range, showing light wear visible only on raised areas. The AU58 grade is certified by PCGS and verified by CAC, with a CAC sticker attached to the slab.
Obverse
The obverse of the 1856-S Liberty Gold Eagle features Liberty facing left, her hair neatly tied in a bun beneath a coronet crown. Designed in 1838, the coin includes thirteen stars around the border and the date below the portrait.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 1856-S $10 Gold Eagle is the classic heraldic eagle design from 1838. The eagle faces forward with the national shield at its chest and turns its head left. It grasps arrows of defense and an olive branch of peace in its claws.
History
In 1856, the Mint produced Liberty Eagles at three locations. San Francisco led with 68,000 coins, followed by 60,490 from Philadelphia and 14,500 from New Orleans.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
BGASC is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
