{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}The Morgan Silver Dollar is one of the most iconic coins ever issued for daily use in the United States. Designed by George T. Morgan, this coin was first minted in 1878 and stayed in production through 1904. In 1883, collectors saw several versions of the Morgan Dollar, with proof and circulation strikes coming from Philadelphia and circulation coins produced in Carson City, New Orleans, and San Francisco. Certified 1883 Morgan Silver Dollar Coins are now available from BGASC.
Highlights:
The 1883 Morgan Silver Dollar Coins offered here have a Mint State 63 grade. Coins in this condition have minor contact marks, a few heavier marks, and small hairlines, but maintain a nice mint luster. Philadelphias production of Morgan Dollars in 1883 was greater than that of any other mint facility.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 1883 Morgan Dollar, George T. Morgans image of Liberty is featured. This design moved away from traditional European styles, showing Liberty with a relaxed hairstyle and calm look, offering a more natural and American representation.
Reverse
The reverse of the 1883 Morgan Silver Dollar highlights a heraldic eagle designed by Morgan. The eagle stands proudly with its wings spread wide, surrounded by a wreath. In its talons, it holds arrows for defense and an olive branch to symbolize peace.
History
Morgan chose Anna Willess Williams, a Philadelphia schoolteacher, to model for Libertys face. Williams posed several times so Morgan could complete his work. Though she became famous as the “Silver Dollar Girl,” she preferred to live quietly away from public attention.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
