Obverse
On the obverse of these 1890-CC $5 Liberty Gold Half Eagles, you’ll find a left-profile bust of Liberty wearing a coronet crown, framed by 13 stars, with the 1890 date mark at the bottom.
Reverse
The reverse of the 1890-CC Liberty Gold Half Eagle Coin features a depiction of the heraldic eagle, including a front-facing eagle supporting the US national shield while holding the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace.
History
The term “Fairmont Collection” refers to a hoard of Pre-33 US Gold Coins that were used in international commerce and remained absent from the United States for more than a century. These specific 1890-CC $5 Liberty Gold Half Eagle Coins were struck by the Carson City Mint in 1890, featuring the CC mint mark on the reverse.
The Carson City Mint issued $5 Liberty Gold Half Eagles in 1890 for the first time since 1884. After closing for a few years, the mint resumed production in 1889 before ceasing operations for good in late 1893. The initial mintage of these coins was one of the highest in the history of Carson City’s striking of $5 Liberty Gold Half Eagles.

Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
