When this coin was introduced in 1878, the Carson City Mint was one of the first three branch mints to strike it. Each 1891-CC Morgan Silver Dollar Coin comes protected in a flip to ensure its condition. If you order multiple coins, they will be shipped in plastic tubes containing 20 coins, if available. All of these coins are offered in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
Obverse
The obverse of the 1891-CC Morgan Dollar Coin features a bust of Lady Liberty. This left-profile design depicts Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, a laurel wreath, and a coronet crown. Surrounding her figure is a ring of 13 stars, honoring the original American Colonies.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 1891-CC Morgan Silver Dollar, you’ll find the heraldic eagle. This design by George T. Morgan showcases the bald eagle in a front-facing position with its wings fully spread. The eagle grasps the arrows of war and an olive branch representing peace in its talons.
History
The Carson City Mint was established in 1870 to take advantage of the nearby silver mines discovered in Nevada. It played a significant role in the production of Morgan Dollars from 1878 until 1885. After a break in production from 1886 to 1888, the mint resumed striking Morgan Dollars from 1889 to 1893 before its permanent closure.

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
