This 1911-D Indian Gold Half Eagle holds a special place in history, not only as a coin from the esteemed Fairmont Collection but also for its rarity due to its date and mintage. Indian Gold Half Eagles were minted from 1908 to 1916 and again in 1929. The Denver Mint issued Indian Half Eagles in limited years, including 1908, 1909, 1910, 1911, and 1914. Among them, the 1911 date had the lowest mintage at the Denver Mint within this series.
