Introduced in 1907, this coin design continued until 1933, with a brief interruption during and following World War I. Today, certified 1924 $20 Saint-Gaudens Gold Double Eagle Coins are available from BGASC.

All 1924 $20 Saint-Gaudens Gold Double Eagle Coins here are graded Mint State 66. This level of preservation indicates bright luster with only a few light contact marks and minor imperfections that are visible mainly under magnification.
Obverse
The obverse of the coin features Lady Liberty advancing forward, holding a torch high in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. This depiction shows Liberty in a striking, full-relief design.
Reverse
On the reverse, the American bald eagle soars above the rising sun. Type II versions of the Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle include Arabic numerals, 48 stars on the obverse, and the motto In God We Trust on the reverse.
History
President Theodore Roosevelt commissioned Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1905 to redesign the $20 Gold Double Eagle. Despite being in poor health, Saint-Gaudens poured great effort into the project, creating multiple sketches and clay models to perfect the designs high-relief look. His collaboration with Roosevelt resulted in what is considered one of the most beautiful coins in U.S. history.

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
