The 1927 release of Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles was dominated by the Philadelphia and San Francisco Mints. The San Francisco Mint struck more than 3.1 million coins, with Philadelphia close behind a 2.95 million coins. The Denver Mint issued a minuscule volume at just 180,000 coins.
