It was introduced during a time when President Theodore Roosevelt wanted to improve the appearance of American coins. Augustus Saint-Gaudens was chosen to design the coin, bringing a more detailed and artistic look to U.S. gold currency. These 1932 Pre-33 $10 Indian Gold Eagle Coins come in Mint State 63 condition. Coins at this level usually have a nice overall look, though some marks and light hairlines may be visible. Each piece has been graded by PCGS or NGC, but we cannot select the grading service for individual orders.
Obverse
The obverse of the 1932 $10 Indian Head Gold Eagle features Liberty wearing a feathered headdress, facing left. Thirteen stars surround her image, representing the original thirteen colonies. The design reflects the work of Saint-Gaudens, later finalized by Charles Barber and Bela Lyon Pratt.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 1932 Pre-33 Indian Head Eagle Coin, the American bald eagle stands with its wings extended, positioned on arrows with an olive branch below. The design reflects a mix of strength and peace that is common in American coin imagery.
History
The 1932 coin is part of the final years of production for the Indian Head Eagle series before gold coins were removed from circulation in 1933. With a mintage of 4,463,000 coins, it is easier to find than many earlier dates, making it a practical addition for collectors. Its release during the Great Depression adds further historical context.

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
