As part of this historic moment, the United States Mint issued special Bicentennial Silver Coin Sets featuring unique reverse designs on the US Dollar, US Half Dollar, and US Quarter. These coins were produced specifically for the anniversary, and 1976-S US Mint Bicentennial Silver Sets are available today from BGASC.

All 1976-S US Mint Bicentennial Silver Sets offered by BGASC come in a three-coin display box. Included in the set are an Eisenhower Dollar, a Kennedy Half Dollar, and a Washington Quarter. Each coin contains a composition of 40% silver and 60% copper. The coins are proof strikes, showing frosted design elements and mirrored backgrounds, and include the S mint mark of the San Francisco Mint.
Obverse
The obverse of each coin features a different US president. The Eisenhower Dollar shows President Dwight D. Eisenhower in left-facing profile. President John F. Kennedy appears on the half dollar, while President George Washington is featured on the quarter. These portraits follow long-established designs used on US coinage.
Reverse
On the reverse of the coins in the 1976-S Bicentennial Silver Set are commemorative designs created only for this issue. The Eisenhower Dollar features the Liberty Bell with the Moon behind it. The half dollar shows Independence Hall. The quarter depicts a colonial drummer symbolizing the Revolutionary War era.
History
Bicentennial celebrations included large-scale events such as Operation Sail, which featured tall ships from around the world docking in New York Harbor on July 4th. Across the country, Americans took part in parades, fireworks shows, and historical reenactments. The anniversary also inspired preservation efforts, special mint issues, and educational initiatives focused on early American history. These activities highlighted the importance of the Bicentennial during the mid-1970s.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
