Each year through 2017 brought a new reverse design, while new obverse designs continued through 2025. The 2004 Proof Platinum Eagle release concluded the Vistas of Liberty series. Now, 2004 Proof American Platinum Eagle 4-Coin Sets are available from BGASC.

Each 2004 Proof American Platinum Eagle 4-Coin Set features four coins protected in individual capsules and presented together in a display box. The set includes 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz coins, all struck in .9995 pure platinum with face values issued in U.S. Dollars.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2004 Proof Platinum Eagle Coins shows Lady Libertys face as inspired by the Statue of Liberty. The artwork was created in 1997 by John Mercanti, who was serving as the 12th Chief Engraver of the United States Mint at the time, and it was made exclusively for the Platinum Eagle Series.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2004 Proof American Platinum Eagle displays Daniel Chester Frenchs statue titled America. This statue is located at the U.S. Customs House in New York City and depicts a seated female figure with a torch in her right hand and an American bald eagle by her side.
History
The 2004 Proof Platinum Eagle release stands out because it is one of only four years that were not part of a themed design series. Others include the 2003 issue with its eagle and U.S. flag design, along with the original eagle-in-flight artwork from 1997 and 2017.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
BGASC is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
