The Proof Gold Libertad series has been available since 2004 and includes five different weight options. Among the fractional-ounce choices is the 1/10 oz Gold Libertad, offered in both Proof and BU conditions. BGASC now has 2009 1/10 oz Proof Mexican Gold Libertad Coins available for purchase.

Each 2009 1/10 oz Proof Mexican Gold Libertad Coin in this listing comes in a protective plastic capsule. These coins display frosted design details with a brilliant, mirrored background. The mintage for the 1/10 oz coin was limited to 600 pieces in 2009, which was also the mintage for the 1/20 oz, 1/2 oz, and 1 oz coins. The 1/4 oz Gold Libertad had the highest mintage that year at 1,700 coins.
Obverse
On the obverse side of 2009 Proof Mexican Gold Libertad Coins, you will see the Mexican coat of arms. This famous image shows a golden eagle in left-profile standing atop a prickly pear cactus while devouring a snake.
Reverse
The reverse of 2009 1/10 oz Proof Gold Libertad Coins features Winged Victory. The image is based on the famous statue that tops the Independence Victory Column in Mexico City. Winged Victory represents triumph and is based on the ancient Greek goddess Nike.
History
The Mexican Mint launched the Gold Libertad series in 1981 with BU coins, followed by the first Proof issues in 1983. After limited early production, Proof coins returned to the market in 2004 following the last pre-hiatus release in 1989. Today, the Proof Gold Libertad series includes the 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz, and 1/20 oz coins.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
