Beginning in 2004, the mint broadened the series by introducing 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz, and 1/20 oz coins. The designs were influenced by the 1921 Gold Centenario. Right now, 2015 1 oz Proof Mexican Gold Libertad Coins are available through BGASC.
Highlights:
Each 2015 1 oz Proof Mexican Gold Libertad Coin is housed in a protective plastic capsule. These proof coins feature frosted details set against a brilliant, mirrored background. Only 500 coins were minted in 2015, the highest mintage for this size since 2011.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2015 Proof Mexican Gold Libertad, you’ll find a detailed collection of the Mexican coat of arms. The modern version, showing a golden eagle eating a serpent atop a prickly pear cactus, is centered, surrounded by 10 historic versions along the rim.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2015 1 oz Proof Gold Libertad features the Winged Victory statue. In this design, she appears in three-quarter relief, lifting a laurel wreath in her right hand and holding broken chains in her left.
History
The Gold Libertads designs were first based on the 1921 Gold Centenario. This 50-peso gold coin celebrated 100 years of Mexican independence from Spain. On the obverse, it features the Winged Victory figure holding a laurel wreath and broken chains as signs of freedom. The reverse side shows the Mexican coat of arms, where an eagle sits on a cactus while clutching a snake.

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
