In 1921, the Mexican Mint issued the Gold Centenario, a 50 Peso coin marking the countrys first century of independence. Today, BGASC offers the 2018 1/20 oz Proof Mexican Gold Libertad Coin to collectors and investors.

Each 2018 1/20 oz Proof Mexican Gold Libertad Coin comes with a beautiful proof finish that includes frosted design elements and polished fields. These coins are shipped in individual plastic capsules. The Mexican Mint struck only 1,000 of these coins in this size in 2018, with the 1/10 oz version seeing the highest production that year.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2018 Proof Mexican Gold Libertad features the national coat of arms of Mexico. This design is based on ancient Aztec symbolism found in the Codex Mendoza and shows a golden eagle in left-profile perched on a cactus, holding a snake in its beak. According to legend, this image guided the Aztecs to the location of their future capital.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2018 1/20 oz Proof Gold Libertad, youll see the figure of Winged Victory standing atop the Angel of Independence column. Behind her, the snowcapped volcanoes Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl are visible in the background, giving the scene a distinct and meaningful setting.
History
Known locally as “El ngel,” the Angel of Independence monument is a major landmark in Mexico City. It was completed in 1910 to celebrate the centennial of the start of the Mexican independence movement. The 45-meter column is topped with a bronze statue of Nike, the goddess of victory, symbolizing freedom and resilience.

Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
