These 2018 1 oz Chinese Silver Kiangnan Dragon Dollar Coins come in plastic capsules for protection. They replicate the 1904 Kiangnan Silver Dollar, a popular collectible among coin enthusiasts. The original coin was made at the Kiangnan mint during the Qing Dynasty and is noted for its special dragon design.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2018 restrike, youll see the 1904 image of the Kiangnan dragon. This version of the dragon has a more rounded, compact appearance than other dragons seen on coins from different provinces. It includes expressive features like heavy eyebrows and a coiled body, along with five claws that symbolize imperial authority.
Reverse
The reverse includes traditional Chinese script based on the original 1904 coin. These inscriptions mention the emperor of the time and specify the coins weight according to older standards.
History
The silver dollars produced at the Kiangnan mint from 1897 to 1905 had small variations over time. Differences in the shape of the dragons face or the arrangement of its scales are subtle ways collectors can distinguish one years issue from another.

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
