{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}In 2021, the United States Mint paid tribute to the 100th anniversary of the last Morgan Dollar coins used in circulation by reviving the original design from George T. Morgan. The 2021 Morgan Silver Dollar program featured five total issues, offering collectors versions that represent the historic mint locations associated with the original series struck from 1878 to 1904, as well as the final year of 1921. Right now, 2021 Morgan Silver Dollar Coins in near-perfect condition are available at BGASC.
Highlights:
Each 2021 Morgan Silver Dollar Coin offered here is graded MS69. In this near-perfect condition, the coin has strong mint luster and only small flaws that are limited in number and size. You may notice up to two minor marks, such as tiny contact ticks or light hairlines, and these must be outside the major focal points. While every coin is guaranteed to be MS69, the mint mark and the slab label design can vary and are not guaranteed.
Obverse
On the obverse of each 2021 Morgan Dollar Coin is a classic left-profile image of Lady Liberty. Designed by George T. Morgan in 1878, Liberty appears wearing a Phrygian cap with a coronet and a laurel wreath, a design detail that has helped make the Morgan Dollar a long-time favorite.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2021 Morgan Silver Dollar comes with Morgans heraldic eagle. This 1878 design shows a bald eagle facing forward with its wings extended. In its talons, the eagle holds arrows and an olive branch, a combination that many collectors recognize from historic American coin designs.
History
The 2021 Morgan Silver Dollar lineup includes five total issues. Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Denver struck coins for the release. Philadelphia coins do not feature a mint mark, while the San Francisco and Denver issues include S and D mint marks. To reflect the legacy of the Carson City and New Orleans mints, Philadelphia also struck coins with CC and O privy marks as part of the program.
