The obverse of 2022 Colorized Native America the Beautiful Mississippi Silver Coins features Yazoo tribal members navigating the river in a canoe. Off in the distance, other members of the tribe prepare camp along the bank. Additional design elements include a cluster of trees and the magnificent sky at sunset. Inscriptions on the obverse rim read YASHU, YAZOO, MISSISSIPPI, 2022.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 2022 Colorized Native America the Beautiful Mississippi 1 oz Coins there is a Native American star motif. There is also the face of a bald eagle looking left in the center of the field. Common to all coins in the series, this reverse design also contains inscriptions that read NATIVE AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL, 1 OUNCE, ONE DOLLAR, .999 AG.
History
The Yazoo tribe enjoyed a healthy and robust life near the Mississippi Delta until the arrival of settlers in the 1700s. The tribe was ultimately destroyed following the Natchez War between the French and Native Americans. Following the conflict, remaining members of the tribe who had fought with the Natchez against the French were sold into slavery or assimilated with the Chickasaw tribe.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
