Obverse
The obverse of the 2023-W Burnished American Palladium Eagles features Adolph A. Weinman’s iconic Winged Liberty bust, often referred to as the Mercury Head. This design includes a winged Phrygian cap on Liberty’s head, reminiscent of the Roman messenger god, Mercury.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2023-W 1 oz Burnished Palladium Eagle Coins, you’ll find another stunning design by Weinman, borrowed from the 1907 American Institute of Architects Gold Medal release. It portrays an eagle in left-profile relief perched on a cliff’s edge, grasping a small sapling in its talons.
History
American Palladium Eagles issued in 2023 have the lowest announced mintage in the series to date. The debut issue in 2017 had a mintage cap of 15,000 coins. The highest mintage cap was 30,000 coins in 2019, with final sales of 18,773 coins. The 2022 release had the previous low mintage cap at 7,500, but the 2023 coin undercuts that by an additional 1,500 coins.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
