This appearance sets it apart from the traditional bullion strike and the highly polished Proof version. Produced at the West Point Mint and carrying the W mint mark, these coins are struck on specially prepared burnished planchets and released in limited quantities. The combination of finish, mint mark, and collector-focused mintage gives this coin a distinct place within the Silver Eagle series. Today, 2023-W 1 oz Burnished American Silver Eagle Coins in certified condition are available at BGASC with a Michael Gaudioso-signed label.
Highlights:
All 2023-W 1 oz Burnished American Silver Eagle Coins listed here are graded MS70 and include Gaudiosos signature on the slab label. An MS70 grade indicates full mint luster and no visible imperfections. The Advanced Release designation confirms the coins were submitted for grading before the public release date.
Obverse
The obverse displays Adolph A. Weinmans Walking Liberty design. Liberty is shown stepping toward the rising sun, wrapped in the American flag and holding an olive branch. The imagery suggests liberty and forward progress. Its detailed design and long history have secured its place as a key image in American coinage.
Reverse
The reverse features Emily Damstras updated eagle design introduced in 2021. The bald eagle is depicted in flight from a lower viewpoint, wings extended as it carries an oak branch. The oak branch represents strength and endurance. This modern interpretation continues to highlight the eagle as a national emblem.
History
Michael Gaudioso has contributed to a range of United States Mint commemorative coin projects. His work includes sculpting and engraving, along with preparing designs for large-scale production. He has experience refining outside artwork into detailed coin dies while maintaining the intent of the original concept. His steady involvement has supported the Mints design and manufacturing efforts.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
