Obverse
The obverse side of the 2024 EC8 Gold Montserrat Starfish Coin displays the seal of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank. This regional institution supports the economies of several island countries, including Montserrat. Also called the Emerald Isle of the Caribbean, Montserrat is recognized for its lush terrain and the presence of the Soufrire Hills volcano, which has shaped the islands environment since its eruptions began in the 1990s.
Reverse
On the reverse of the coin, a starfish design pays tribute to one of the native species in Montserrats waters. These waters are rich in minerals due to volcanic activity, helping to nourish many types of starfish, including the cushion star, royal sea star, and the uncommon nine-armed starfish.

The natural behavior of starfishmoving across the ocean floor and consuming foodhelps spread nutrients and break down material in the water. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
