The Libertad Series began in the 1980s with releases in both gold and silver, taking design cues from the historic 1921 Gold Centenario coin. In 2025, production of Silver Libertads was reduced, and no Gold Libertads were issued. This resulted in some of the lowest mintages ever seen in the series, which may increase interest among collectors. Right now, 2025 1/10 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coins in certified condition are available at BGASC.

Each 2025 1/10 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coin offered here is graded Mint State 70. Coins in this condition show complete mint luster and no visible marks. The 1/10 oz coin in the 2025 lineup is especially limited, with a total mintage of only 200 pieces.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2025 Mexican Silver Libertad Coin, you will see the Mexican coat of arms. The design shows an eagle standing on a cactus while holding a serpent in its beak and talons.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2025 1/10 oz Silver Libertad Coin features Winged Victory. This design, refreshed in 1996, shows her from a three-quarter perspective as she stands on the Victory Column in Mexico City.
History
The Mexican coat of arms appears on Libertad coins every year. This symbol is tied to a key Aztec legend about the founding of Tenochtitln. According to the story, the Mexica people were guided by their god Huitzilopochtli to settle where they found an eagle perched on a cactus eating a serpent, an event believed to have occurred around 1325 CE in Lake Texcoco.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
