Obverse
The obverse of the 2025 Falkland Islands Gold King Penguin Coin features a left-facing portrait of King Charles III. This design by Glyn Davies follows the traditional style of British, Commonwealth, and territorial coinage, in which monarchs appear without crowns.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2025 1/2 Gram Gold King Penguin Coin, a flock of King Penguins is depicted. The scene includes an adult in the foreground, with four additional members of the colony, including a chick, shown in the background. The Falkland Islands are home to one of the worlds most significant breeding grounds for this species, with Volunteer Point hosting a major colony.
History
As ocean conditions change, the availability of key food sources for King Penguins continues to shift, requiring some colonies to travel farther south to find sustenance. Experts warn that this could create long-term challenges for certain populations, particularly those living on islands that may become too distant from essential feeding areas.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
