In 1983, a proof version was added, and by 1986, Proof Silver Libertads became an annual release. The series gradually expanded to include different weights beyond the original 1 oz option. Now, 2025 1/2 oz Proof Mexican Silver Libertad Coins in perfect condition are available from BGASC.

Obverse
The obverse side of the 2025 Proof Mexican Silver Libertad features the modern Mexican coat of arms. This design depicts a golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus with a serpent in its beak and talon. Larger coins, such as the 1 oz, 2 oz, and 5 oz sizes, include 10 historical variations of the emblem surrounding the central image. Fractional coins like the 1/2 oz version display only the modern design.
Reverse
On the reverse, the 2025 1/2 oz Proof Silver Libertad Coin shows the famous Winged Victory statue from the Independence Victory Column in Mexico City. The volcanic peaks Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl rise in the background.
History
The 2025 Silver Libertad release stands out for its extremely small mintages and the lack of any 2025 Gold Libertad coins. The mintage for the 2025 1/2 oz Proof Silver Libertad is only 200 coins, creating a new record low below the previous record of 600 coins struck in 1999.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
