{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}The Mexican Mint produces the Mexican Libertad Series, and it holds the title of being the oldest mint still in operation across the Americas. The Libertad coins made their debut in the 1980s, offering both silver and gold options that draw inspiration from Mexicos 1921 Gold Centenario. Right now, you can buy 2025 1 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coins at BGASC.
Highlights:
Each 2025 1 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coin available here is offered in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The 1 oz size is individually housed in plastic flips. In 2025, the Mexican Mint reduced mintage levels for Mexican Silver Libertads across the board and decided not to strike any 2025 Mexican Gold Libertads. Among these changes, BU Silver Libertads stand out with the lowest mintages in the series to date, a shift that could drive future rarity for this release year.
Obverse
On the obverse side of the 2025 Mexican Silver Libertad, the coin shows the official coat of arms of Mexico. This design displays an eagle perched on a cactus, holding a snake in its beak and talons. For the 1 oz version and above, the primary design is ringed by 10 earlier historical versions of this emblem.
Reverse
The reverse side carries a more modern take on Winged Victory, used on Silver Libertads since 1996. She is shown in a three-quarter view as she stands atop the Mexican Independence Victory Column located in Mexico City.
History
The reverse design shows the image of Winged Victory, a powerful symbol in Mexican culture. Called Libertad, she stands for the countrys long-standing pursuit of independence and strength. Her image became widely recognized in the 19th century as Mexico developed a national identity after separating from Spanish rule.
