Written in the 1930s by Marion Sinclair, the song has introduced Australian children to their native wildlife for generations. Since 1990, the Perth Mint has honored this iconic bird with a silver bullion coin series. Today, 2025 10 oz Australian Silver Kookaburra Coins are available online at BGASC.

Each 2025 10 oz Australian Silver Kookaburra Coin is packaged in a protective capsule to maintain its Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The Perth Mint will strike these coins on demand until the end of 2025.
Obverse
The obverse of 2025 10 oz Silver Kookaburra Coins includes the effigy of King Charles III. Designed by Dan Thorne, this left-profile portrait is the first of Charles III to appear on Australian coins and portrays the king without a crown.
Reverse
On the reverse, youll find two designs honoring the kookaburra. The primary design shows the bird perched on a tree branch in left-profile relief. In the lower left of the field, there is a small privy circle containing the original 1990 kookaburra design to commemorate the series 35th anniversary.
History
The kookaburra is known for its unique plumage. Its cream-white underside contrasts with its brown wings and back, while a dark stripe runs through its eye. Males and females are similar in appearance, but females tend to be larger and often display more prominent reddish-brown tones on their tails.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
