Design
The design of the 2024 Antique Republic of Chad Silver M1 Garand Rifle Shaped Coin showcases the rifles shape, from its stock to its barrel. The Chadian coat of arms is engraved on the stock, linking the coin to its issuing country. Known for its reliability, the M1 Garand earned high praise, including General George S. Pattons declaration that it was “the greatest battle implement ever devised.”
History
The M1 Garand introduced a new feeding system with its en bloc clip, which holds eight .30-06 Springfield rounds. When the last round is fired, the clip ejects automatically, producing a recognizable “ping” sound. This innovative design revolutionized infantry combat, though the audible “ping” could signal to opponents that the rifle was out of ammunition.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
