Since its introduction in the 1980s, the series has featured both gold and silver coins with designs influenced by the 1921 Gold Centenario. In 2025, the mint limited the production of Silver Libertads and chose not to release any Gold Libertads. This led to some of the lowest BU Silver Libertad mintages on record, which may affect their availability. These 2025 5 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coins come in Mint State 70 condition. This grade indicates full mint luster with no noticeable flaws. With a total mintage of only 200 coins, this release is one of the rarest among 5 oz Libertads.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2025 Mexican Silver Libertad showcases Mexicos national coat of arms. The design features an eagle perched on a cactus while holding a serpent in its beak and talons. On coins weighing 1 oz and above, 10 historic versions of the seal appear in a ring around the central image.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2025 5 oz Silver Libertad Coin is the image of Winged Victory. First introduced in this format in 1996, the design shows Victory from a three-quarter angle as she stands on the Mexican Independence Victory Column in Mexico City.
History
Winged Victory, also known as the Angel of Independence or El ngel, is the statue that crowns the Independence Victory Column. Built to commemorate the centennial of Mexicos War of Independence beginning in 1810, the monument was designed by Antonio Rivas Mercado and represents a key symbol of the nations identity.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
