The Libertad Series began in the 1980s, offering both gold and silver coins with designs inspired by the 1921 Gold Centenario. In 2025, production of Silver Libertads was limited, and no Gold Libertads were issued. These reduced numbers make the 2025 silver coins some of the lowest mintage releases in the series. At this time, certified 2025 5 oz Proof Mexican Silver Libertad Coins are available from BGASC.
Highlights:
Each coin in this listing is graded PR70, meaning it has a flawless appearance with full mint shine. The DCAM designation indicates deep-cameo contrast, where the raised design elements have a frosted look against mirrored fields.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2025 Proof Mexican Silver Libertad features the Mexican coat of arms. It shows an eagle perched on a cactus with a serpent in its grasp. Around the central image, coins of 1 oz and larger include a ring of 10 earlier versions of the national emblem.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2025 5 oz Proof Silver Libertad Coin presents Winged Victory in a three-quarter view. This version of the design has been used since 1996 and shows her atop the Independence Victory Column.
History
Winged Victory is one of the most recognizable images in the Libertad Series. Modeled after the Greek goddess Nike, she represents victory and freedom. In Mexico, she is known as the Angel of Independence, holding a wreath and broken chains. The statue stands in Mexico City and remains an important symbol of national pride.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
