More recently, San Francisco has returned to consistent, yearly production of the series. The US Mint has now confirmed that the 2025-S Proof Silver Eagle will be the last scheduled issue from the San Francisco Mint. Highlights:
Each 2025-S 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagle Coin is packaged in a plastic capsule and placed in a US Mint presentation box. The coin arrives in an outer shipper decorated with a Walking Liberty theme and is paired with a Certificate of Authenticity. Proof coins display frosted details with shiny background fields. Just 110,000 coins will be issued from the San Francisco Mint in this packaging style.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2025-S Proof American Silver Eagle showcases the Walking Liberty design from Adolph A. Weinman. Introduced in 1916, the artwork portrays Liberty walking toward the rising sun with the American flag around her shoulders and her right hand reaching forward.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2025-S 1 oz Proof Silver Eagle Coin, youll find Emily Damstras bald eagle design. First used in 2021, it shows the eagle in flight with its wings lifted and talons carrying an oak branch.
History
The San Francisco Mint was authorized in 1852 and opened in 1854 after the California Gold Rush brought large amounts of gold to the region. Sending gold to the East Coast was too costly and dangerous, so Congress approved a mint in San Francisco to handle the demand locally.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
BGASC is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
