{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}The American Gold Eagle program celebrates an important anniversary in 2026, marking 40 years since the first release. The United States Mint began striking Gold Eagles in 1986, and the coins have remained the countrys most collected gold bullion series ever since. Four sizes have always been part of the program: the 1 oz coin plus three fractional options. The smallest of those, the 1/10 oz Gold Eagle, continues to be the most popular fractional choice for both collectors and investors. Struck in 22-karat gold with 91.67% purity, Gold Eagles offer dependable gold content in a tough, long-lasting format. Now, 2026 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle Coins in certified condition are available online from BGASC.
Highlights:
These 2026 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle Coins come in perfect MS70 condition and are secured in protective plastic slabs. MS70 coins show full mint luster and no visible flaws. First Strike coins are those graded by PCGS within 30 days of the coins release from the mint.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2026 American Gold Eagle carries the timeless Lady Liberty image by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. Dating back to 1907, this design shows Liberty stepping forward with a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. The Capitol Building appears behind her, along with sun rays and a circle of stars around the rim.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2026 1/10 oz Gold Eagle features the current bald eagle portrait introduced in 2021. Designed by Jennie Norris, this modern view focuses on the eagles head in left-profile relief, bringing crisp detail and a bold finish to the coin.
History
The 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle is widely seen as the go-to fractional gold coin from the U.S. Mint. Even though premiums per ounce are higher on smaller coins because of minting costs, the lower overall cost makes them easier to buy more regularly. This size is especially useful for building a position over time, giving as a gift, or keeping gold in smaller, more flexible pieces.
