{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}The Isle of Man Angel Series is known around the world for its historic imagery and elegant bullion designs. Produced by the Tower Mint for the Isle of Man, these coins continue a tradition that dates back decades while drawing inspiration from medieval English coinage. Featuring the powerful image of the Archangel Michael overcoming evil, the Angel Series remains popular with both collectors and silver buyers. Today, 2026 1/2 oz Isle of Man Silver Angel Coins are available online from BGASC.
Highlights:
Each 2026 1/2 oz Isle of Man Silver Angel Coin available here is offered in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and comes with protective plastic packaging. The current Angel Series from the Tower Mint celebrates 40 years of Manx Angel designs that first appeared in the 1980s. The collection itself was influenced by even older gold Angel coins once struck in England centuries ago.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2026 Isle of Man Silver Angel Coin includes a portrait of King Charles III. This uncrowned left-profile depiction was designed by Glyn Davies and is among the first official coin portraits used throughout the Commonwealth during Charles IIIs reign. You will also notice the QEII 100 privy mark commemorating Queen Elizabeth IIs 100th birthday in 2026.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 2026 1/2 oz Silver Angel Coin is the famous image of the Archangel Michael defeating a dragon. Michael appears as a winged warrior driving a spear into the dragon while protecting himself with a shield featuring the Christian cross. This timeless design continues to define the Isle of Man Angel Series.
History
The design concept behind the Angel Series comes from the historic Angel coins introduced during the reign of Edward IV in the 15th century. Those coins featured the Archangel Michael defeating a dragon, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. The modern Isle of Man series keeps this traditional image alive while offering investors and collectors a beautifully struck silver bullion coin.
