{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}For 2026, The Tower Mint adds a commemorative detail to its Pitcairn Islands HMS Bounty Series with a privy mark unique to the year. This special feature marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Queen Elizabeth II. Every coin issued in the 2026 HMS Bounty Series includes the QEII 100 privy on the obverse, placed near the portrait of King Charles III. This detail is consistent across all coins released for the year. Right now, 2026 1/2 oz Pitcairn Islands Silver Bounty Coins are offered by BGASC.
Highlights:
Each 2026 1/2 oz Pitcairn Islands Silver Bounty Coin is struck in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and arrives in a protective plastic flip. The QEII 100 privy helps distinguish the 2026 release within the ongoing HMS Bounty collection.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2026 Pitcairn Islands Silver Bounty Coin shows a left-facing portrait of King Charles III. Designed by Glyn Davies, the effigy presents the King without a crown in a straightforward style. The QEII 100 privy appears nearby, commemorating Queen Elizabeth IIs birth centennial.
Reverse
Featured on the reverse of the 2026 1/2 oz Silver Bounty Coin is a detailed rendering of the HMS Bounty. After the mutiny, the ship was taken to Pitcairn Island and burned. The settlers remained isolated for many years, and their story has continued to influence historical writing, films, and cultural discussion.
History
Pitcairn Islands population descends from the HMS Bounty mutineers and their Tahitian companions. After settling on the island, the group formed a small, isolated community that still exists today. Family names passed down through generations reflect the islands origins and its unique blend of English and Polynesian traditions.
