Obverse
On the obverse of the 2026 Proof Colorized Tuvalu Silver Lunar Baby Horse, you will see King Charles III in left-profile relief. The portrait presents His Majesty without a crown and is part of the first-generation effigy used for this series. The design was created by Jody Clark.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2026 1/2 oz Proof Colorized Silver Lunar Baby Horse Coin depicts a young foal lying down among flowers. Foals spend a lot of time resting in their first days as their bodies strengthen, and they stay close to their mothers for safety and guidance. With large eyes and a curious nature, newborn horses often show signs of playful behavior early, even though much of their day is still spent sleeping.
History
Many people are surprised by how quickly foals can move after birth. Newborn horses can often stand within an hour and begin walking soon afterward, which helped their ancestors stay with the herd and avoid threats in the wild.
