Each 2026 1/2 oz South African Gold Krugerrand Coin is available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Individual coins are packaged in protective flips, and groups of 15 are delivered in tubes. These coins are made from a 22-karat gold alloy that blends 91.67% gold with 8.33% copper for added durability and a distinctive reddish tint.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2026 South African Gold Krugerrand features the image of Paul Kruger. This portrait has been used on South African coins since the late 19th century and continues to serve as a lasting symbol of the nations coinage.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2026 1/2 oz Gold Krugerrand is the Springbok antelope, a design that first appeared on South African coins in the 1930s and 1940s. The Springbok was reintroduced for the Krugerrand series in 1967 and remains a key emblem of South Africas heritage.
History
Paul Kruger was elected President of the South African Republic (Transvaal) in 1883 and remained in office until 1900. His time in leadership coincided with the rapid growth of the regions gold mining industry, which brought new challenges and tensions. His policies to limit political rights for foreign miners, along with growing British influence, helped spark the Second Boer War in 1899.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
