This coin program began in 1986 and includes several weights, including the 1/4 oz coin. While smaller in size than the standard 1 oz version, the 1/4 oz Gold Eagle has been part of the series from the start. BGASC now offers 2026 1/4 oz American Gold Eagle Tubes for purchase.
Highlights:
These 2026 1/4 oz American Gold Eagles are packaged in tubes of 40 coins. All coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and offer a combined total of 10 Troy ounces of gold. The tube packaging provides a simple way to store and handle the coins.
Obverse
On the obverse side of the 2026 Gold Eagle, youll see the famous image of Lady Liberty, created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in the early 20th century. She is shown in a flowing gown, walking toward the viewer while carrying a torch and an olive branchsymbols of light and peace.
Reverse
The reverse shows a bald eagle in left-profile. This design was added to the coin in 2021 and was created by Jennie Norris. The close-up view of the eagles head provides a modern update that has appeared on the coin since the 35th anniversary of the series.
History
When the series launched in 1986, the 1/4 oz Gold Eagle saw its highest-ever mintage, topping 726,000 coins. While that number has not been matched, the mintage came close in 1999, when more than 564,000 coins were released as buyers prepared for potential Y2K disruptions.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
