First introduced by the United States Mint in 1986, this gold bullion program has always offered four weight choices to meet different investment needs. Each coin is minted in 22-karat gold, a standard that is less common today. The alloy blend includes 91.67% gold, balanced with 5.33% copper and 3% silver, giving the coin its familiar durability and warm tone. These 2026 1 oz American Gold Eagle Coins come certified MS70, meaning they are perfect examples with no visible surface marks and full mint brightness. The Early Release label indicates the coin was submitted for grading within 30 days of the mints official release.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2026 1 oz Gold Eagle Coin features the famous Saint-Gaudens Liberty. She is shown full-length, walking forward with a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other. A ring of stars surrounds the image, and a pattern of sunbeams fills the background for a classic, uplifting look.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2026 American Gold Eagle Coin is the newer bald eagle design. Created by Jennie Norris in 2020 and introduced in 2021, this portrait focuses on the eagles head in left-profile relief, with sharp detail and a strong, confident presence.
History
Saint-Gaudens Liberty design, originally used on the Double Eagle from 1907 to 1933, remains the centerpiece of the Gold Eagle program and is widely admired by collectors. The original reverse by Miley Busiek, used through 2021, showed a family of eagles meant to reflect American heritage and resilience before the series transitioned to the single-eagle portrait.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
