This alloy is 91.67% gold, blended with 5.33% copper and 3% silver, which adds durability while still delivering full gold weight. Each 2026 1 oz American Gold Eagle Coin offered here is housed in an individual plastic slab and graded MS70 by PCGS. This perfect Mint State grade means the coin has full, original shine and no noticeable marks or flaws when viewed under magnification. The First Day of Issue notation confirms that PCGS received these coins for grading within 24 hours of their release.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2026 American Gold Eagle, Augustus Saint-Gaudens Liberty design returns once more. Liberty is shown walking forward toward the viewer, a torch raised in one hand and an olive branch carried in the other. Stars wrap around the rim, while sun rays brighten the space behind her.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2026 1 oz Gold Eagle uses the updated bald eagle design introduced in 2020. Crafted by Jennie Norris, it features a detailed left-profile view of the eagles head, giving the coin a clean, modern counterpart to the classic front.
History
These coins come from the West Point Mint in New York, the primary facility for Gold Eagle production. The Mint also creates proof and burnished versions at West Point, which many collectors enjoy following, but the bullion coin remains the heart of the program. When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
