{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}In 2026, the American Silver Eagle reaches a major milestone. The United States Mint launched this bullion series in 1986, starting with a 1 oz .999 fine silver coin that quickly became a favorite in the precious metals world. Forty years later, the coin remains a steady presence for both investors and collectors, and 2026 honors the series 40th anniversary. Right now, 2026 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coins in certified condition are available from BGASC.
Highlights:
The 2026 Silver Eagles available here have been graded MS69 and sealed in protective plastic slabs. An MS69 coin shows strong mint luster and excellent overall eye appeal, with no major distractions. At most, there may be one or two tiny marks or light hairlines, and these are kept away from the main points of the design. The Early Release label indicates that the coin was submitted to NGC within 30 days of release from the mint.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2026 American Silver Eagle, Weinmans Walking Liberty appears in full-length form. Liberty is wrapped in the American flag as she walks toward a rising sun. Her right arm is stretched forward, and her left hand carries oak and laurel branches.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2026 1 oz Silver Eagle features the modern bald eagle design by Emily Damstra. First introduced in 2021, the artwork shows a bald eagle coming in for a landing with its wings spread wide and an oak branch in its talons.
History
American Silver Eagles were first struck in 1986 after the Liberty Coin Act authorized their production. This law created the official U.S. silver bullion coin and required each piece to contain one troy ounce of 99.9% pure silver. Since then, the series has built a lasting reputation for quality and recognizable imagery. The obverse uses Adolph A. Weinmans Walking Liberty, a design originally featured on half dollars from 1916 to 1947.
