{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}The Australian Emu bullion collection from The Perth Mint honors one of Australias best-known native birds with yearly gold releases featuring updated designs. Since the series began, it has become increasingly popular with collectors because of its limited mintages, detailed artwork, and connection to Australias wildlife traditions. Supported by the respected minting standards of The Perth Mint, the Australian Emu Series continues to offer a distinctive bullion option for collectors and investors alike. Today, 2026 1 oz Australian Gold Emu Coins are available from BGASC.
Highlights:
All 2026 1 oz Australian Gold Emu Coins in this listing are presented in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Individual coins are sealed in acrylic capsules to help preserve their condition. In addition, the reverse design includes a small micro-laser security feature that is only visible with magnification and provides added authentication for the coin.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2026 Australian Gold Emu Coin displays the first-generation Australian portrait of King Charles III. Created by Dan Thorne, the design depicts His Majesty facing left without a crown in a modern interpretation prepared specifically for Australian currency.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2026 1 oz Gold Emu Coin, the image features an emu walking near farmland situated along the border of the Outback. These birds are commonly seen crossing open rural areas while searching for food and water. During their travels, they often move alongside fences and natural water sources found throughout the region.
History
Emus are large, flightless birds that inhabit much of Australias diverse landscape. They can survive in dry desert climates, grassy open areas, wooded regions, and coastal habitats. Because they regularly travel in search of water and food, emus are considered nomadic birds capable of covering great distances across difficult terrain. Their adaptability has helped make them one of the most recognized animals associated with the Australian continent and its natural environment.
