Obverse
The obverse of the 2026 British Gold Royal Arms Coin features the official image of King Charles III. Designed by Martin Jennings, the left-profile portrait is displayed over a detailed guilloche field and has been used on British coinage since its introduction in late 2022. The King appears without a crown in keeping with long-established tradition.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2026 1 oz Gold Royal Arms Coin is the official Royal Arms of King Charles III. The shield combines England’s three lions, Scotland’s lion rampant, and Ireland’s harp within a single heraldic design. Standing beside the shield are the crowned Lion of England and the crowned, chained Unicorn of Scotland, symbols that have accompanied the Royal Arms since the union of the English and Scottish crowns.
History
The Royal Arms of Britain can trace their beginnings to the reign of King Richard I, whose shield of three golden lions established the foundation of English royal heraldry. The design evolved through the centuries, and after the crowns of England and Scotland came together in 1603, the Scottish lion rampant was incorporated into the quartered shield that remains in use today.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
