{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}For centuries, The Royal Mint has placed the Royal Arms on British coinage in a variety of artistic styles. Displayed on the reverse of countless issues, the Royal Arms symbolize the sovereign authority of the monarch and connect today’s coins with a long history of British minting. In 2026, collectors and investors will see the official Royal Arms of King Charles III appear on a bullion coin for the very first time. BGASC now offers the 2026 1 oz British Silver Royal Arms Coin.
Highlights:
These 2026 1 oz British Silver Royal Arms Coins are struck in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Single coins are packaged in protective plastic flips, while orders of multiples are available in acrylic tubes holding 25 coins. Full Monster Boxes contain 20 tubes for a combined total of 500 coins.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2026 British Silver Royal Arms Coin bears the official portrait of King Charles III. Designed by Martin Jennings, the uncrowned left-facing portrait is shown over a finely detailed guilloche background. This effigy made its debut on British coinage in late 2022 and follows the traditional presentation used on British circulating and bullion issues.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2026 1 oz Silver Royal Arms Coin displays the official Royal Arms of His Majesty King Charles III. The quartered shield features England’s three golden lions, Scotland’s red lion rampant, and Ireland’s golden harp. Supporting the shield are the crowned Lion of England, carrying a Royal Arms banner, and the crowned, chained Unicorn of Scotland. These familiar heraldic figures have represented the united crowns since the early seventeenth century and remain an important symbol of the monarchy.
History
The origins of the Royal Arms date to the adoption of the three lions by King Richard I during the late 1100s. As Britain evolved through royal unions and constitutional changes, additional heraldic elements were incorporated, including the symbols of Scotland and Ireland and, for a period, France. The current design reflects centuries of history while continuing to serve as the official arms of the British monarch.
