{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}The Joker made his comic book debut in Batman #1 back in 1940. Initially designed as a villain who would appear only briefly, the character nearly disappeared after that first issue. An editor chose to keep the Joker alive, allowing him to become a lasting part of Batmans story. Over time, the Joker grew into one of the most recognizable villains in popular culture. This commemorative silver foil highlights the character during one of his most chaotic moments. Today, 2026 1 oz Proof Colorized Niue Silver Three Jokers Foils are available at BGASC.
Highlights:
Each 2026 1 oz Proof Colorized Niue Silver Three Jokers Foil comes in a presentation box and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Most of the foils in this series display a colorized version of the Joker on the reverse. There is also a special twist for collectors, as approximately 10% of the release includes an alternate version featuring the same design without colorization.
Obverse
The obverse of 2026 Proof Colorized Niue Silver Three Jokers Foils features a Joker playing card displayed in color at the center. This side also includes the Public Seal of Niue along with the official inscriptions that note the issuing authority and metal specifications.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2026 1 oz Proof Colorized Silver Three Jokers Foil, the Joker appears with a wide grin and an unsettling expression. Over the years, the character has taken many forms, from lighter portrayals in earlier television adaptations to darker and more complex interpretations in modern comics and films. Despite these changes, the Joker remains one of the most recognizable villains ever created.
History
One of the most influential Joker stories appeared in 1988 with the release of Batman: The Killing Joke. Written by Alan Moore with artwork by Brian Bolland, the graphic novel explores the Jokers belief that anyone can lose their sanity after experiencing enough trauma. Rather than acting for wealth or power, the Jokers actions are driven by a desire to prove his disturbing theory.
