Each 2026 1 oz South African Gold Krugerrand Coin comes in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Individual coins are delivered in plastic flips, while groups of 10 ship in protective plastic tubes. The 22-karat composition includes 91.67% gold and 8.33% copper, creating a strong and lasting finish.
Obverse
The obverse side of the 2026 1 oz Gold Krugerrand Coin features a left-profile image of Paul Kruger, who served as the first President of the South African Republic. Designed in the 1890s for the South African Gold Pound, this portrait continues to define the appearance of the Krugerrand series.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2026 South African Gold Krugerrand, the Springbok antelope is shown in motion. This design first appeared on South African coinage during the 1930s and 1940s and was later reintroduced for the launch of the Krugerrand in 1967. The Springbok remains one of the most recognized symbols of South African heritage.
History
When Britain annexed the Transvaal in 1877, Kruger joined Piet Joubert and Marthinus Pretorius in forming a triumvirate to lead the Boer resistance. Their coordinated efforts resulted in victory during the First Boer War of 18801881, including the decisive Battle of Majuba Hill. The trios leadership led to the Pretoria Convention of 1881, restoring local rule to the Transvaal.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most BGASC orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
