Highlights:
All 2026 2 oz British Silver Tudor Beasts Royal Dragon Coins available here are offered in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Coins are packaged individually in protective flips, while multiples are shipped in plastic tubes of 10 coins or boxes containing 200 silver coins.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2026 British Silver Tudor Beasts Royal Dragon Coin is the official portrait of King Charles III from artist Martin Jennings. The left-profile image presents the monarch in a realistic and balanced style that has become familiar on current British coinage from The Royal Mint. Jennings is widely known for his work as a sculptor throughout the United Kingdom.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2026 2 oz Silver Tudor Beasts Royal Dragon Coin features the Royal Dragon supporting a quartered shield with the Three Lions of England and the fleur de lis of France. These historic emblems were closely connected to English kings and their claims in medieval Europe. The overall design combines important heraldic symbols into a single image representing royal history and dynastic tradition.
History
Among the ten Tudor Beasts, the Royal Dragon was one of the strongest symbols used by the Tudor rulers. The dragon represented the dynastys Welsh origins and was used by Henry VII to connect his reign to ancient British legends and royal ancestry. As part of the decorative statues at Hampton Court Palace, the Royal Dragon reflected the Tudor familys desire to present authority, tradition, and stability through heraldic imagery.
