History
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will introduce several firsts for the tournament. It will expand to 48 teams, allowing more nations to compete on the world stage. It will also be co-hosted by three countries for the first time, with the United States, Mexico, and Canada sharing hosting duties. Matches will be held in 16 cities, and the final is scheduled for MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. With 104 total matches, this edition reflects FIFAs continued push to grow the game across new regions.
