These 2026-S US Mint Silver Proof Sets include two plastic display cases containing all ten coins. One case is dedicated to the five Semiquincentennial Quarters, while the second contains the remaining circulating denominations. The set arrives in an official US Mint box with a commemorative outer shipper. The quarter dollars, dime, and half dollar each contain .999 fine silver.
Details
The US Mint also introduced special Liberty designs for the dime and half dollar in 2026. The traditional Kennedy portrait on the half dollar gives way to Enduring Liberty, while Roosevelts image on the dime is temporarily replaced by Emerging Liberty. The Emerging Liberty design is particularly significant because it returns Liberty to the dime for the first time since 1945.
Alongside these special issues, the set includes the well-known designs of the Lincoln Penny, Jefferson Nickel, and Sacagawea Dollar. The five quarters celebrate important moments in the nations development, honoring the Mayflower Compact, the Revolutionary War, the Declaration of Independence, the United States Constitution, and the Gettysburg Address.
History
One noteworthy feature of this release is the inclusion of a Proof Lincoln Penny. Although the production of circulation pennies ended in 2025, the US Mint continues to strike collectible versions for numismatic products. As a result, collectors can still obtain newly issued pennies in sets such as this Silver Proof Set.
